The Sonoco Institute

The Sonoco Institute was created to exploit the synergies that exist between the graphic communications and packaging science departments. It is the only university program in the country with this one-of-a-kind multidisciplinary approach to packaging as a core competency.

Prepress Workflow Automation

Is your prepress team working hard or working smart? Clemson University’s Sonoco Institute of Packaging Design and Graphics offers a seminar focused on bringing automation and intelligence to the prepress workflow.

This seminar will explore the foundations of developing your prepress workflow to be smarter, faster and less prone to error. Attendees will learn the strategies and principles of developing a smart, data-driven workflow and go hands-on with the various technologies that make it possible. Topics include planning your workflow, automating step and repeating, proofing systems, integrating with an MIS, communicating with existing systems, demystifing JDF, ROI, and more. This two day event will allow for plenty of time to discuss and network with industry suppliers and experts.

This seminar will return your investment in short order. If you leave with just one idea for improvement that could save a costly error on press, the seminar pays for itself. Just automating one small, mundane task can save minutes per job, but translates to weeks of saved work hours annually.
